Adoption Social Workers
If you are a self-employed, qualified and experienced adoption social worker looking to undertake initial interviews, adoption assessments and post-placement support we would like to hear from you.  You will have the ability to work independently and to tight deadlines. All work will need to be completed to a high standard and you will be required to attend panel with your applicants. You must be HCPC registered and have three years’ post qualifying experience in children’s social work including direct experience in adoption. You will need to have access to your own transport, be willing to travel and hold your own professional indemnity insurance.

Therapeutically Trained Social Workers
We are also looking for therapeutically trained social workers with a good understanding and experience of working with trauma and attachment issues to provide excellent therapeutic support to our children and families. You must have appropriate membership with a professional organisation. 

We can offer a competitive rate and you will be provided with support and consultation for each assignment.  

You will need to provide three references, a DBS check will be undertaken, and you must have a current certificate for completion of an acceptable safeguarding course. You may also be asked to show a sample of your previous work.

FACTS Clinical Psychologists and Therapists

Our Family and Children Therapeutic Support (FACTS) service provides therapeutic and clinical assessment and therapeutic support services tailored to meet the needs of individual children, young adults and families.  

We are looking for self-employed therapists and clinical psychologists from across the south east (particularly Berkshire, Hampshire, London, Buckinghamshire, Brighton and Oxford) to work with looked after children and their families.

In particular we are looking for: play, art, drama, music and movement therapists; family therapists; child and adolescent psychotherapists; occupational therapists including sensory integration, and clinical and educational psychologists.  We value therapeutic training including DDP, Theraplay, therapeutic lifestory and filial therapy.

It is essential that you have experience in working with trauma, loss and attachment. Experience of working with looked after children is desirable.   Referrals will include assessing the therapeutic needs of children and families and undertaking therapeutic intervention. 

Pay is on an hourly rate depending on experience and travel expenses are also paid.  Caseloads are flexible and can be arranged to fit around other commitments.
