Are you a self-employed adoption professional?
PACT requires experienced, qualified family placement social workers to support the existing staff teams within PACT. We need good quality Adoption Social Workers specifically from Brighton and surrounding areas to take prospective adopters through the whole adoption process from initial enquiry to assessment to placement support.
You must be HCPC registered and have 3 years’ experience in adoption. You will have the ability to work independently and to tight deadlines. All work will need to be completed to a high standard and you will be required to attend panel with your applicants. You will need to have access to your own transport, be willing to travel and hold your own professional indemnity insurance.
By joining PACT we can offer a competitive and professional fee per assessment and you will be provided with support and consultation for each assignment. Travelling expenses are also reimbursed. You will need to provide three references, a certificate for a current safeguarding course and a DBS check will also be undertaken, and you may be asked to show a sample of your previous work.

Clinical Psychologists and Therapists
Self-employed clinical psychologists needed across the south east to work with looked after children and adoptees.This is a great opportunity for self-employed clinical psychologists and therapists to join a growing therapeutic support team for children in care, adoptees and their carers/parents. PACT is an established voluntary adoption agency that is expanding its awarding winning therapeutic support team across the south east. You will be joining the Family And Children Therapeutic Support (FACTS) service at an exciting time and you will be working within an experienced team of professionals.
We are looking for clinical psychologists with experience with looked after children, either in training or post training and also systematically trained therapists with experience of providing support to looked after children and their families. The work will involve carrying out assessments of therapeutic needs for applications to the Adoption Support Fund, direct therapeutic support to children and their parents/carers, running parenting courses and providing consultations to social workers.
Pay is on an hourly rate depending on experience and competitive travel expenses are also paid. The therapist’s caseloads are flexible and can be arranged to accommodate other commitments.
