PACT is an independent adoption charity with a long history of providing adoption services and award-winning therapeutic support.
Last year, in 2017, PACT placed 82 children with their forever families.
PACT has offices in Reading, Brighton and London. We offer adoption services to couples and single people who live within a 50 mile radius of one of our three offices. Building, supporting and strengthening families
PACT runs events through the year where adopters can meet other PACT families. The most popular of these are Family Fun Days, held in London and Berkshire.
Virtual Support Clinic for PACT adopters
PACT adopters can access advice and suggestions from our specialist Post-Placement Support team through the Virtual Support Clinic. To access this service please fill in the enquiry form on the page. We promise that one of the Post-Placement Support team will respond to you within two working days of receiving your enquiry. It may be that we can answer your question straight away or decide together that you would benefit from a consultation with one of the FACTS team which we will arrange. Consultations with FACTS team members can be arranged during the day or evenings and at weekends.
PACT's out-of-hours phone line is available for PACT adoptive families 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. If you need PACT’s advice or support urgently and outside of normal office hours please call 07787 834871. Please note though that this number is for emergencies and not for general enquiries.
PACT's adoption services were rated as outstanding across all areas by Ofsted at an inspection in March 2017.
The inspector said that PACT provides an “impressive service” to children and their adoptive families and that “Its main strengths are of note and worthy of dissemination across the sector”.
"The excellent arrangements for family finding ensure that children across the country, including brothers and sisters and harder to place children, may secure adoptive placements with PACT adopters. The efforts put into family finding are highly effective."
"The arrangements for supporting placements are of the highest quality and there is an impressive range of informal and formal support services available on an individual and group basis. Support has stabilised placements and prevented family breakdowns."
