PACT is an independent adoption agency rated as Outstanding by Ofsted in 2014 and 2017. We find, prepare and approve people to adopt and then work with local authorities to match adopters with the right child. Children in the UK that need adopting are looked after by their local authority.
At PACT we are looking for all kinds of adopters for the 2,060* children waiting for adoption. We especially welcome families who can consider adopting sibling groups of two or more children, children of black or minority ethnic heritage, children with additional needs or uncertainty and children aged four or over.
PACT welcomes adopters from all backgrounds, including those from black and minority ethnic heritage and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
We also need adopters prepared to 'Foster to Adopt'. Find out more about PACT's Fostering for Adoption scheme.
The more experience you have of being around children before you apply the more ahead you will be. Parenting can be challenging but if you choose to adopt through PACT, we will be here to support you every step of the way.
The pages in this section explain the process of adopting with PACT.
If you are thinking of adopting or have any questions about PACT please contact us or telephone PACT’s dedicated Enquiry Officers on 0300 456 4800. Lines are open 10am-3pm Monday to Friday. You can also email email@example.com.
