Chairman of Governors at a primary school in West Berkshire
Patricia Brims is Chairman of Governors at her local primary school in West Berkshire, and until recently she taught in the Learning Support department at Bradfield College(age 13-19), teaching pupils with specific learning difficulties. She has taught in primary schools and worked with adult literacy. For many years she worked with stroke victims with speech impairments.
Her husband, Charles, was High Sheriff of Berkshire in 2012/2013. During his year he focused on the issues surrounding the high rate of reoffending among ex-prisoners. Charles and Patricia have continued to take an active interest in this area, and Patricia has recently joined the steering group of New Leaf, an organisation which supports people when they leave prison.
Charles and Patricia live near Newbury, and they have two sons in their early 30s.
