A SPECIAL summer event in the grounds of a beautiful Grade II listed country house is being held to raise funds for a Berkshire-based charity.
A Garden Party in aid of Parents And Children Together (PACT) will take place on Monday 18th July at 2-5pm at Englefield House in West Berkshire.
PACT has been building and strengthening families since 1911. PACT creates families through adoption services and provides lifelong adoption support, it empowers women who face multiple disadvantages to make positive changes to their lives through its Alana House Community Project and it supports children to heal from the trauma of domestic abuse through its Bounce Back 4 Kids programme.
The event will give the opportunity for attendees to enjoy the enchanting and rarely-seen gardens at Englefield and also meet the estate’s head gardener. There will also be live music and refreshments served by the team from the Alana House community café and supported by our volunteers who were recently awarded the top royal honour of the Queens Award for Voluntary Service.
PACT Chief Executive Natausha van Vliet said: “This is our second annual garden party and we are very grateful to the team at Englefield House for generously offering us their grounds as our stunning venue this year.
“We are able to maximise the funds we raise for PACT’s work with women, children and families thanks to the wonderful support of our sponsors Boardman, Hawkins & Osborne LLP.
“Please do join us for a very special afternoon to support the vital work PACT does every day supporting adoptive families and helping women facing multiple disadvantages and children who are healing from trauma.”
Tickets for the Garden Party cost £20 per adult, and accompanying children are free. Tickets are available until 11th July.
