The Sixth Form College Farnborough, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, prides itself on creating an environment where students can learn, enjoy and achieve. The college also offers excellent support services, along with a comprehensive careers program and development opportunities to guide students in making important decisions about their future.
In March 2024, the college hosted its annual SIXFEST event, a much-anticipated celebration that showcases the talents and creativity of its students. This year, the college decided to support PACT after a nomination by one student, Megan, whose mum works at PACT. The festival featured a diverse range of musical performances across two stages and dynamic lighting shows. Awareness and vital funds were raised for PACT through tickets and additional sales by the student association of glow sticks, sweeties, neon face paint and tattoos. The enthusiasm and generosity of the students, staff and attendees was evident, making the event a resounding success, selling out the show twice-over.
Maisie, a staff member at the college, said: “Every year we put the selection of charities to a board of student helpers involved with organising the event. This year we decided to support PACT. SIXFEST 2024 demonstrates what a thriving and diverse musical community we have at the college. It’s a fantastic experience for the students and everyone really enjoyed themselves. I’m very proud of everyone who made this year’s festival a huge success.”
